Tobu sub-divisional planning & development board (SPDB) was held at ADC’s Conference Hall Tobu on September 12, with parliamentary secretary for youth resources, sports and land revenue, Naiba Konyak who presided over the meeting. Naiba in his introductory remark called upon the members to take SPDB meeting seriously and also contribute constructive ideas and suggestions in order to uplift the prestige and the image of the sub-division. He added that SPDB members were the dreams of the society and urged them not only to perform their assigned duties but to also have more interaction with the public. The board also discussed agendas which were approved at the meeting.

CGI sheets for Mon
With an aim to remove thatch houses within Mon district, DC, Mon, Angau I Thou, has constituted a sub-committee for distribution of CGI sheets to the public of Mon town. DC in an order stated that the committee members would verify the building structure before issuing CGI sheets to the beneficiaries in due consultation with the respective ward chairmen and Gaonburas (GBs). The order also stated that the ideal distribution of the CGI sheets would be at the rate of one unit for every beneficiary who has completed 70% of the building structure. The 5 sub-committee members consist of SDO (Civil) Sadar, as convener, EAC, Mon and the president and general secretary, Konyak union as members.
