Post-election results violence reported

Former Congress MLA Chingwang’s residence was vandalized by youths numbering about 20, Thursday evening. 

According to Lopai, Chingwang’s younger brother, youths forcefully came and demanded for the MLA and without any reason, started pelting stones and bricks at the resident, breaking all the window panes. 

Reports said Chingwang was out of station at the time of the incident. No arrest has been made so far. The residence was now being protected by IRB personnel as the youths allegedly threatened to come back for the MLA.
