Chi citizens flay killings; resolves not to co-operate with factions

Chi citizens has condemned the inhumanly act where late Wangkim and late Manshong of Chi village and late Pawang of T. Chingha, cadres of GPRN/NSCN were abducted, tortured to death and after which they were shot at point blank near Chi village junction Mon on March 15 allegedly by NSCN (K) in-spite of repeated appeal for safe release by KU and other civil societies.

Chi citizens in a press release stated that in its meeting on March 21 at Chi village, Chi citizens adopted the resolution to refrain from extending any cooperation towards the factions until all Naga factions united as one.

Chi citizens further reminded that first peace mission was held at Chi village on September 6,1964, “Since then, it has been rendering its full cooperation in attaining peaceful co-existence among the Nagas. Chi citizens are also known for its being a center of peace in the locality from time immemorial.” 

Chi citizens also stated that the recent incident was “shocking as our own fellow Nagas could be murdered so brutally in cold blood, in the name of attaining Naga sovereignty.”
Chi citizens further appealed to one and all to condemn such activities and urged all Naga brothers to stop killing one another.
