Under the banner “With Love from Kiphire ” a relief team from Kiphire reached Tobu town and Yakshu village under Mon district where the team was welcomed by Akhup Hangsing, ADC Tobu and Konyak Union (KU) at Tobu town Monday.
Owing to the bad road condition at Yangkhao village, the team could not distribute the relief materials personally. However, cash amounting to Rs.52,500 and some clothing materials for Yongkhao village fire victims were distributed through Yakshu village elders in the presence of Neiba Konyak, parliamentary secretary, youth resource and sports Nagaland at Tobu town.
Acknowledging the noble work initiated by Eastern Nagaland Social Service Society (ENSSS), Neiba Konyak said the gesture showed oneness amongst the eastern brothers and said that it was a mark of self reliant and a landmark history in the Eastern region. He also expressed happiness to people of Kiphire district for their concern shown to them in time of needs.
The team later left for Yakshu village and distributed Rs.52,500 and clothing materials to fire victims of Yakshu in the presence with village council, Church leaders and students union leader.
Meanwhile, Tsointhe Sangtam Chairman of the relief team expressed gratitude to ADC Tobu, Konyak Union (Tobu) and Confederation of Chang Students’ Union (CCSU) Tuensang Hq for supporting them in accomplishing their mission.
